Appointed member Cal OSHA Advisory Committee for Construction Employers Association.

University of California, San Diego, 2000 to Present.  OSHA Training Institute instructor for OSHA 500 (Construction) and OSHA 501 (General Industry) train-the-trainer programs.  Participant Spanish Language OSHA 500 (Construction) and 311 (Fall Protection) training programs.  Curriculum development committee member.

Corey Delta Constructors, 1999 to 2000.  Director Safety & Risk Management for a general contractor specializing in food processing plants and wineries.  Responsible for all safety and insurance programs including training, site auditing, safety communications, program documentation, crisis management, workers’ compensation, auto and general liability, claims, investigations, security and crime prevention, client safety interface and regulatory compliance.

St. Paul Insurance, 1996 to 1999. Loss Control Specialist for 8th largest liability carrier in US. Prepared and reviewed safety programs, performed field job site inspections, prepared and presented safety training programs including OSHA 10 hour, Fall Protection, (English & Spanish) Scaffold, Defensive Driving, Crisis Management and Excavation Safety.  Served more than 40 of largest general contractors in California & Northern Nevada.

AGC of California, 1990 to 1996.  Director of Regulatory Services. Duties included safety program activities, staffing safety health & environment committee, controlling a group work comp program with $20M in premium; staff support for insurance and bonds committees, local district manager for Sacramento District, liaison with numerous local government entities. Testified before legislative committees, boards and commissions on regulations and laws affecting construction.  Developed and reviewed legislation impacting construction safety & environmental issues.  Wrote and administered grant funds/proposals

University of Southern California, 1989 to 1995 Adjunct Professor, Department of Safety and Systems Management.  Provided instruction in the off-campus master’s degree program in Safety.  Courses included Accident Investigation, Accident Prevention and Safety Management.

Sacramento Municipal Utility District, 1986 to 1990.  Safety Engineer and Security Supervisor.  Performed safety and industrial hygiene duties at Rancho Seco Nuclear Plant; managed all aspects of corporate drug testing program; developed and ran background screening, psychological profiling and drug screening programs for employee access to the nuclear plant.  Provided safety and security training.

Dysan Corporation, 1981 to 1985.  Manager Safety and Security.  Managed a department of 75 serving an employee population of 5000.  Developed guard force, bomb threat and emergency response programs, and safety program.  Saved $300K in insurance premiums; reduced EMR from 1.67 to less than 1
